Business creation in Armenti\u00e8res in the north of France by Mr. Constant FEINTE, the first generation of the company. First a linen bleaching company, then a weaving mill, the name was \u201cH. PARENT & C. FEINTE\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Change of the company\u2019s name to \u201cC. FEINTE ET FILS & J. BEAUJEU\u201d after Mr. Henri PARENT\u2019s death. Mr. Jules BEAUJEU, Constant FEINTE\u2019s son-in-law, was the second generation of the company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

1914<\/p>\n

Part of the company had to be transferred in Angers because of the First World War. The mill in Armenti\u00e8res still belonged to the company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

Merger of the companies \u00ab FEINTE ET BEAUJEU \u00bb and \u00ab FEINTE HIBON ET CIE \u00bb. The board was composed with Mr. Henri FEINTE and Mr. Ren\u00e9 BEAUJEU, they were the third generation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/div>\n

1939 – 1945<\/p>\n

The mill in Armenti\u00e8res was partly destroyed during the Second World War bombing. The head office was transferred in Laval, and weaving was still the core business of the company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

1956<\/p>\n

This was the beginning of printing in Laval with the development of tinting process (Jiggers industrial machinery), as well as the acquisition of the two first printing tables. The new specialty of the company was the dyed yarns for indoor slippers. The board was then composed by Henri FEINTE\u2019s sons: Daniel, Bernard and Fran\u00e7ois FEINTE, the fourth generation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

1966<\/p>\n

On October 25th, the rising waters of the Mayenne River flood the factory and destroyed the weaving looms: this ended the weaving business.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

1970<\/p>\n

The three brothers embarked upon flat screen printing which was very successful, and became the first activity. Two new printing tables were set up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/div>\n

1984<\/p>\n

The company became “Tissus d\u2019Avesni\u00e8res”, and started to export its production abroad, including successfully England and the United-States. The production plant was then composed with 10 printing tables.
\nIn the meantime, the fourth generation decided to invest in archives, starting a great collection of drawings and designs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

2000<\/p>\n

This decade was synonym of new technologies, most particularly with the acquisition of the first small inkjet printer in 2006: this was the beginning of digital printing on fabric.
\nAt this time, the management board is composed with the fifth generation, Mrs Nathalie FEINTE-LIGUINE et Mr Gr\u00e9goire FEINTE.<\/p>\n

Since 2023, Mrs Nathalie FEINTE-LIGUINE is the CEO of the company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/div>\n

2009<\/p>\n

Tissus d\u2019Avesni\u00e8res got the EPV Label (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant \u2013 l\u2019Excellence des savoir-faire fran\u00e7ais).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

2011<\/p>\n

New step forward for the company with the acquisition of its first industrial inkjet printer. This allows the production tools to produce important and high-quality volume, with an unlimited number of colours.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/div>\n

2019<\/p>\n

Tissus d\u2019Avesni\u00e8res is still preparing for the future investing in the most recent inkjet printer, and is upgrading all traditional printing tools for flat screen printing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
